We met sweet Babas during our mini free sterilization campaign at the Humane Society Mobile Clinic on March 31st in the Las Fincas neighborhood.

At first glance, we thought she had distemper, so we took her with us. Poor Babas had an horribly broken jaw and also tested positive for heartworm. We later discovered Babas was loved by all the neighborhood. They promised to get her off the street and keep her in their garden. However, the broken jaw and heartworm treatment is way beyond what the residents of this neighborhood can afford.

Helping Babas is a titanic task! But we hope that several people will join together and help this little girl, who deserves more than anyone to receive all the love in the world. We now

Needs: $6018MX/$375US to cover the remainder of her heartworm treatment, vaccines, and the rest of the preventive protocols. The second phase of her recovery involves jaw surgery in a private clinic so that she can eat better. We don’t yet know the cost of this surgery, and we will update her needs as soon as we can.
