Meet Oreo!

Hello! My name is Oreo, but those who love me call me Ottie. I am about 5 years old and I am spayed. I was abandoned in the jungle with my friend Max, it was a pretty rough life. Every day for four years had been a challenge to get food, water, and shelter. I have been attacked several times by wild animals. I lost my right eye, and my nose and lower lip are cut in half. Despite all that, I am very sweet and affectionate.

It is clear that I had owners. I love people and especially children. And if I am properly introduced, I also get along with other dogs. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a cat, so I’m still not sure about them. I’m well trained and I use the bathroom only outside. I love baths, long walks, and I love chewing on toys, because I never had one before! I’m a little shy at first. And since I’m missing an eye, if you approach me from my right side where I can’t see you, I get a little scared. I love having my belly scratched and getting cuddles. I’m learning to high-five and sit when asked.

I still have a lot to learn, and I will if I find the right human to support me. Thanks to the Humane Society of Cozumel I am now healthy enough to find my ideal family who is ready for all the love and affection I’m ready to give!
