Rayas is still waiting… will you be the one to change his story? 🐾
Five years ago, Rayas was rescued with the hope that he would soon find a loving family. But that day still hasn’t come.
The person who rescued him had very territorial dogs, and despite trying everything, they were never able to safely integrate Rayas with them. Even so, they never gave up on him. For the past five years, they have covered all of his expenses and kept him at a boarding facility, where he gets to play with other dogs during the day.
But when the day ends… Rayas is left all alone. 💔
He has never known what it’s like to sleep in a cozy bed, have a family to love, or receive affection simply because he belongs.
Rayas is about to turn 7 years old. He is a gentle, calm, and well-mannered dog. He is healthy, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and ready to become part of a loving family.
There is one important thing to know: walks still make him nervous, so he will need a patient family willing to help him build confidence little by little. An ideal home would have a securely fenced yard where he can comfortably go outside while he learns to enjoy the world at his own pace.
After five years of waiting, we believe it’s finally time for Rayas to experience what it truly means to be loved. ❤️
If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give him the time, patience, and love he deserves, Rayas is waiting for you.

We are continually evolving to meet the needs of the island’s animals. At this time, we urgently need to expand our surgery, preparation, and recovery areas to keep pace with our ongoing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program. In addition to our clinic work, we support independent rescuers by sharing donated food and supplies, providing free sterilizations for their rescues, and assisting with urgent medical care.

Every donation directly contributes to improving the lives of Cozumel’s dogs and cats, ensuring they receive the care and compassion they deserve.

We must continue raising funds not only for sterilizations, but also to vaccinate Cozumel’s animals against some of the most devastating and painful diseases still prevalent on the island—such as heartworm and distemper.

Your support makes this possible. Please, help us help them!
